Starting at the Museum, the crawl takes visitors on a remarkable and fascinating stroll, exploring the Swiss migration to Smithers, the lives of First Nations people in the Valley, Dutch Settlement in Smithers, breathtaking gardens and unique Eaton kit homes.

Smithers A Railroad Town

by Harry Kruisselbrink What began as a much-requested lecture in 2007, has been expanded and revised into this short history of the Grand Trunk Pacific in Smithers and the Canadian National Railway. A short but delightful fact-filled journey by rail to the early days of Smithers, featuring many rare photo reprints of the period and breathtaking photos by the author himself.
